Tastes Like Yesterday
A hearty meal can fill much more than the stomach. Hi, I am Aubrey, and I like to think I am an amateur chef in-the-making. I’ll whip up cherished dishes from the past, revisiting family recipes and forgotten flavors. Join us at the table as my guest and I share stories, reminisce, and savor the comfort of comfort food.

A Spoonful of Aubrey
My family has a long and extensive history of cooking and appreciating the craft; so for as long as I can remember, I have always known my way around the kitchen. My deep appreciation for cooking stems from my great-grandfather, who immigrated from France to St. Augustine, Florida, where he opened a boutique French restaurant. His legacy lives on with my great-aunts and my mother, as they all have passed down his recipes and skills to their children– i.e. me! Cooking was always something that strengthened my bond to my mother’s side of the family and connected me to my French roots.

In this episode of Tastes Like Yesterday, I make beef stroganoff: my favorite childhood meal and my guest Riley’s too. We talk about family, food memories, what this dish still means to us today, and celebrity crushes?
It’s cozy, nostalgic, and full of flavor (and butter).
